'The Joy of Painting' ?, what a wonderful statement...... Learning to paint has been the most relaxing and enjoyable thing I have ever done in my life. I can remember the times I thought.. what me..paint!!! don't be silly... well here I am having fun painting, meeting lots of fantastic people and spreading the 'the joy of painting' to others who have previously doubted their ability to put brush to canvas.
So how did it all start..... purely by accident....and by watching this most facinating bloke on tv who just made things happen on his canvas in front of my eyes in only 30 minutes.... his name, Bob Ross. Well I watrched and I watched and then during a country show, quite by accident I came across a very nice lady Anne who was demonstrating the same technique... this time not on tv but actually there and then in front of me... well that was that it......my facination got the better of me and from here on there was no stopping me. I attended some of Anne's classes and from there decided to enrol on the Bob Ross Instructors course.
The American tutors who travel around the world instructing the Bob Ross technique were fantastic and having been taught by Bob themselves had many facinating stories to tell about Bob himself.
I am now a qualified CRI CRFI and teach both Landscape & Floral classes,
